This was a shoot for valentines day for The Times about what Chef’s might make for their partners for a special meal.
Safron Risotto is the answer in Marcus Wearings case for his wife Jane.
This was shot in his Restaurant called Marcus, but he wasn’t in the kitchen that day and he seemed more relaxed. He obviously, still had that chef’s ‘lets get this done quickly’ attitude, but maybe it was the presence of his wife or that he just had to cook one dish that took the pressure off.
Also, maybe being use to doing TV shoots, he though I was miraculously quick.
We brought clothes and I got a variety of locations in the restaurant to choose from so we could build the colour palette around the Yellow Risotto dish, the green dress, the purple flower, the brown walls, the mint curtains, the…
